The greenhouse gas emissions of an organization, commonly referred to as its carbon footprint, are typically categorized into three scopes: Scope 1 (direct emissions), Scope 2 (indirect emissions from purchased electricity), and Scope 3 (indirect emissions from the value
chain, including travel and procurement activities). According to preliminary calculations, the School of Management, Xiamen
University's Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions in 2025 were 20.72, 214.19, and 700.95 tons of carbon dioxide
equivalent, respectively, totaling 935.86 t CO2e.

In recent years, the School of Management at Xiamen University has actively advanced its carbon neutrality strategy through concrete
actions. It has made notable achievements in research on the economics and management of carbon neutrality and has produced a
significant number of professionals in the green and low-carbon development sector.
In 2026, the School of Management at Xiamen University will further deepen both theoretical research and practical engagement in
the field of carbon neutrality and emission reduction (carbon peak and carbon neutrality). Guided by the university's enduring
motto — “Knowledge is boundless, love is boundless”— the School upholds the spirit of Xiamen University and is committed to
contributing more robustly to China’s national dual-carbon strategy through higher-level insights and more action-oriented
initiatives.
